The Thalberg Gallery is proud to present the exhibition Vladimir Velickovic \u2013 Drawings, from November 2nd 2018 to January 14th 2019.
\nBorn 1935 in Belgrade, Velickovic has become the most prominent artist from Serbia for Post-War Art.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Velickovic was born on 11 August 1935 in Belgrade, where he exhibited his works for the first time in 1951. In the same city he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in 1960 and received his first offer for a solo exhibition of his work at the Museum of Modern Art.
\nHe was awarded at the Biennale de Paris in 1965, the city he moved to the following year, where he now lives and works. Velickovic showed his first solo exhibition in Paris in 1967 at the Dragon Gallery.
\nAppointed professor at the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des beaux-arts (National Academy of Fine Arts) in Paris in 1983, he taught there for 18 years. In 2009 he created the “Fonds Vladimir Velickovic pour le dessin”, which rewards young Serbian artists. He is a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts; Member of the Acad\u00e9mie des beaux-arts, Institut de France, member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts; Commander of the Order of Arts and Literature and Knight of the Legion of Honor.<\/p>\n
